MBBA Calendar

Mt. Baker Beekeepers Association proudly offers WASBA Beekeeping Courses several times a year.  Here’s your options for Spring of 2025. Participants will be receiving instruction to achieve the optional Beginner and Apprentice levels and more importantly getting your bees to thrive and survive throughout the year.  The cost is $65 for the class.  You’ll be attending classes March 1st and 2nd from 8am to noon.  This will be Zoom presentations.

After completing the course, you may receive the WASBA study guide and take the tests given by WASBA.  The test for the Beginner Beekeeper Certificate is $25 and the Apprentice Beekeeper Certificate is $35.  These are optional, but recommended for continued learning.

Beginner Certification: Here is an opportunity to take the Beginner Certification for WASBA for those that have taken the class and want to continue their education journey. Beekeeping certificate and WASBA Membership (a $30 value) is included after successfully completing the exam. The WASBA Workbook Manual is included. MBBA membership is NOT included.

Apprentice Certification:  Here is an opportunity to take the Apprentice Certification for WASBA for those that have completed the Beginner Certification, have one (1)year of beekeeping and want to continue their education journey. A Certificate and Patch will be issued and membership in WASBA(a $30 value) is included with the certification fee after successfully completing the exam. The WASBA Workbook Manual is included. MBBA membership is NOT included.
