MBBA Learning Opportunities!
Our MBBA monthly meetings provides a GREAT way to learn about beekeeping and meet fellow wannabee beekeepers. Typically in early Spring, there are other experienced beekeepers who offer learning opportunities in both Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
Mt. Baker Beekeepers Association strives to promote learning opportunities. Unfortunately, our first meeting in January 2020, was canceled due to inclement winter weather. At our February meeting, we were very fortunate to have Paul van Westendorp, Provincial Apiculturist for British Columbia, come speak to the club about the Asian Giant Hornet. Just as everyone was looking forward to our March 2020 meeting and/or participating in other beginning beekeeping instructions taught by a variety of experienced beekeepers in Whatcom and Skagit Counties, the COVID-19 restrictions/social distancing were implemented State and Country wide. To look at creative ways to continue to provide learning opportunities, the MBBA Board is providing virtual meetings.
